Any entrepreneur who goes into rice farming and get it right is sure to be smiling to the bank. A bag of rice is currently sold for N13,000 to N16,000 depending on the quality. A farmer who is able to invest in large scale rice production in Nigeria and able to produce 100,000 Bags of processed Rice in a year, sell at wholesale price of about N10,000 per bag, he will be making 10,000 x 100,000 = 100,000,000

Between  garri and rice , it is hard to tell  which one  is the most  popular  food  in Nigeria  and  within  West Africa. Apart from garri , there are  countless of other  food stuffs  that are processed  from cassava in Nigeria. The introduction  of the  high level  yield species  of cassava  has  made it  possible  for  the Nigerian cassava  farmers to produce  more  cassava  per plot. Nearly  every  land  in Nigeria  is good  for growing  cassava  and 1 Acre , when  properly  planted  and managed can produced  thousands  of tubers  of cassava in a year.

Poultry Farming- Every  one  knows  how profitable  poultry farming is. It doesn’t   need  much introduction yet , it is still  not fully  tapped. What is currently  have  is few  badly  managed , scantily  equipped  poultry  farmers here and there. The  eggs incubation  is another  goldmine. These are  all due  to lapses  in enhancement of human rights  which  is affecting  development  and  drastically affecting  economic  development.

Beans planting- Beans is a nutritious food. A bag of beans  sells more than a bag of garri. In the northern  part of  Nigeria , that is where  there are large  plantations  of beans farming , supplying  almost  all over  Nigeria and West Africa.

Cat fish Rearing- Cat fish business is really  selling in West Africa countries  right now  but now  many  are really  getting  it right? A single catfish  sells for 700 Naira in Restaurants and 400 Naira in open markets.

Goat Rearing- In the Northern parts of west Arica  goats  is reared  in commercial quantities in subsistence  and commercial quantities. In  the  U. S.A , Australia and Great Britain , farmers  are among the wealthiest people – A full grown goat sells for  15,000 Naira to 40,000 Naira  within West Africa.

Maize planting- One agricultural advantage about maize is that of it’s rapidity in planting and harvesting. It takes less than 4 months  between planting and harvesting. When there is turbulence in the planting of maize , it can to price havoc in the production of Brew  products , like Beer and other maize ingredient beverage products, because maize will then be imported and these attracts high charges.
